Traffic Light enforcement - in practice

Gatsometer supplies a full range of equipment registering and processing traffic light violations.

Two of the main systems for Red Light detection are fully automated. A short animated film shows four short situations with a crossroad of two lanes. The first shows a crossing without any surveillance. The second section illustrates the loop detection GLD4 – 2S combined with the GTC-D, the Digital Camera, either a GS2, with two Mega Pixels, or a GS11, with 11 Mega Pixels. Two inductive loop detectors are cut into each lane, one just before and one just after the stop line. The loop detection is extremely accurate; each passing vehicle is detected. When a delay time has been set connected to the red light signal, the vehicle that passes after the delay time will be photographed twice in quick succession. The Non Invasive Detection system uses a virtual loop that is projected onto each separate lane. The vehicle that violates the red light and moves through the loop zone triggers the NID unit, that in turn activates the camera to take a picture of the offending vehicle.

In the left hand corner, during the presentation, there are four boxes with the nrs 1 trough 4. These numbers correspond with the individual section of the presentation. At the end of the presentation, we give you a summary of each section with more information about the system.
