Traffic Light Enforcement

GTC

Gatsometer has developed the next generation Traffic Cameras, the Gatso Traffic Camera Digital version GTC in two and 11 Mega Pixel design. These traffic cameras detect and register red light and speed offences using the unique GLD4-2S loop detector system. Day or night, the cameras automatically photograph vehicles driving through the red light and exceeding a pre-set threshold speed. These cameras can monitor up to four separate lanes of traffic. They are equipped with an RJ-45 connector to enable remote control by, for instance, a laptop.

GTC-D
The Traffic Camera GTC-D combines digital color images with 1200 x 1600 resolution and data registration with the GLD4-2S loop detector system. The offences will be saved on an exchangeable hard disk and if the required infrastructure is available they can also be downloaded with a modem.

GTC-GS11

The GTC-GS11 offers a combination of 11 mega pixels and the full 12 bit dynamic range, with a resolution of 4008 x 2768 so the system delivers a superb image quality and clear contextual details. The camera enables easily exchangeable lenses for different traffic situations. Images can be viewed or downloaded via suitable fixed or wireless means of communications media.

Gatso’s Multi Camera System

The flexibility of the digital MCS makes it equally suitable for use at signalled intersections for red light enforcement or simultaneous monitoring of red light and speed offences, as well as railway crossings and tunnels or for speed enforcement on motorways.

This advanced and flexible system may be both gantry mounted or installed at the roadside and uses a combination of digital cameras to capture violations over up to four lanes of traffic, with digital colour images and optional video event recording if required. Multiple MCS systems can be used in combination if required.

Gatsometer camera housings are available with one, two, four and six ports to enable the most flexible configuration of lane cameras, overview camera, flash and digital video recorder. The unique versatility of the Gatso MCS system enables it to be used in applications where front images, rear images or both front and rear offence images are required.

Dummy Equipment

The Fixed post radar equipment can be used effectively for road safety and traffic-monitoring purposes by adding a dummy enforcement system. Gatsometer manufactures dummy models for speed- (Junior / Dummy radar) and red light (Dummy / Decoy RLC) equipment.
The dummy equipment is placed in the existing cabinets for preventive purposes. Other benefits of the system are:
  • The introduction of more systems at lower cost, to ensure driver compliance to traffic laws.
  • The ability to rotate ‘Dummy / Decoy’ systems with officially approved traffic enforcement equipment.
  • It enables the user to obtain data for basic statistical applications and research purposes (for more extensive statistical analyses Gatsometer offers the Statistics software)

Gatso RLC 36

The Gatso RLC 36 (Red Light Camera) operates by means of ground loops that are cut into the road surface. The RLC is used to register red light offences but has many other applications such as guarding railway crossings and specific vehicle lanes, such as bus lanes. The RLC system is also used in combination with Access Control systems and Ramp Metering Systems.
